Back Cove Yachts has a new web site that we want the blogoshpere to know about. The most popular pages so far have been the video and QTVR of each of the three boat models. We're looking forward to seeing how many folks join our blog and having some great conversation about boats and the boating lifestyle. Our sister company Sabre Yachts has had a blog for a while now and there are plenty of people reading that one.

The dichotomy of the Boat Show season. Boat Show season always seems to be a drag here at the office for us marketing and sales people. It promises airports lines, flight delays, rental cars, stiff hotel sheets, and lost luggage. The small segments of time that we are in the office between shows is basically an endlessly piling stack of paperwork and missed phone calls. Along with all of that we seldom get to see our friends and family when we are away traveling. On the other side of the equation is the freedom from 9-5 office environment, the ability to travel the world and meet new people. What gets me the most is the ability to reach out to people far and wide; to tell boating stories, and teach them about Back Cove Yachts, and teach them about the Maine boat building tradition. When all is said and done, when we slip into the starchy sheets at a Best Western, or when we return our tray tables to their upright and locked positions, the sacrifice is well worthwhile.
